President - Cheryl Crowe

Cheryl Crowe was born in England (RAF Mildenhall) alongside her twin brother, where their father was stationed in the Air Force. Her family moved to Delaware, where Cheryl has split time between Rehoboth Beach and Tysons Corner, VA. Cheryl has served as a Real Estate settlement coordinator, a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and Humane Policy Leader. Cheryl has worked on both State and Federal levels to develop and advocate for companion animal protection legislation and policy to increase the effectiveness of Animal Services and law enforcement officers through education to prevent and prosecute animal cruelty. Cheryl is also a former Miss Delaware USA (2003) and a 2021 graduate of the FBI WFO Citizens Academy.

Vice President - Alan Jacobson

Alan is a USA Today bestselling author of 15 novels, most featuring the FBI. To ensure the verisimilitude of his stories and characters, Alan has worked with the Bureau for 30 years. He has used this knowledge in the volunteer arena as well, chairing two committees to design security infrastructure and protocols for multiple religious institutions.

Secretary - Christian Lecca

Christian Lecca is a Technology industry executive with over 23 years of experience successfully leading teams, projects innovation and complex solutions in government and commercial markets. He has held leadership and technical roles with the U. S. Government (including the FBI). Christian is currently working in the commercial space as a business owner. He has lived in the DC Metro area since 1995 and loves to be involved and support the community. He is a father, soccer head, and a social soul. He became a member of the FBI DC CAAA in September 2022, and is honored to serve as Chapter Secretary!

Assistant Secretary - Gurpreet Brar

Mr. Brar is CEO of ASSURSEC, LLC, a small business that specializes in Cybersecurity, Cloud and IT Modernization domains supporting federal and private sectors, including but not limited to, DOL, USDA, DHS, NASA, OPM and DOS OIG. Mr. Brar has supported classified and unclassified projects at Defense Health Agency and DoD Health Medical Systems Management in various roles since 2007 until July 2023. Mr. Brar holds MSc in Information Systems Security from London School of Economics and Political Science, and BSc Honors in Computer Information Systems from University of Paisley Scotland UK. Mr. Brar is recipient of the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award (UK) and Chairman’s Award at Acentia. Mr Brar holds various cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CCFE, CCSK, CompTIA Security+, AWS CCP, CyberAB RP, and ITIL. Mr. Brar has successfully completed Citizens Academy programs offered by Loudoun County Sheriff Dept and Herndon Police Dept in Virginia, as well as a volunteer member of the Loudoun Multicultural Advisory Committee (reporting to Loudoun Superintendent).

Membership Chair - Aregnaz Malakyan

Aregnaz is a Crisis Intervention Specialist with Fairfax County Government and works with first responders including the Co-Responder Unit, Mobile Crisis Unit, and Community Response Team. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, going to art galleries, wineries, vintage car shows, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Immediate Past President - Aaron Matzkin

Aaron Matzkin has worked in contract management/acquisitions for over 15 years, in the aerospace/defense private sector and within the Federal Government. Aaron graduated from the FBI Portland (Oregon) Citizens Academy in 2016, shortly before relocating to Maryland.
